Question: What was the motivation for creating LLM?

Answer: As a group of long time Markham residents, we believe that adults in our community need more opportunities for lifelong learning at the university level without having to make the great trek to downtown Toronto.

Question: What topics will be covered in the lectures?

Answer: Lectures will cover a wide variety of topic areas including Political Science, International Affairs, The Arts, History, Science, Law, Travel, Music, Health…the list is endless! Lectures will be 1 hour long followed by a 45-minute Q&A session.

Question: How do I purchase tickets?

Answer: To purchase tickets for the current Lecture Series, click here.

Question: Can someone else use my ticket if I buy the series?

Answer: Yes. It is your responsibility to transfer the ticket to the user and provide him/her with the appropriate information (date, time, location, etc.)

Question: When are the lectures held?

Answer: The lectures will be held at 10:00 am on Monday mornings on Zoom

Question: Do I get a ticket for each lecture ?

Answer: No, you only get 1 receipt/ticket, which you can use for each lecture or show us on your smartphone. Since each receipt/ticket is unique, you can print out extra copies if you lose your original.

Question: Are there reserved seats ?

Answer: No, it’s first come, first serve seating, so if you want to sit with someone, or in a particular location, the earlier, the better for seat selection.

Question: What if I don’t receive a receipt/ticket email ?

Answer: Please check your spam file on the off-chance that it went into that file. Otherwise, let us know.

Question: Do you sell tickets to single lectures ?

Answer: Unfortunately, no we do not. We only sell tickets for the entire Series due to the overwhelming demand.
